- NASHIK: City resident Anand Shirsath (23) has been shortlisted along with 19 others to develop a mobile application for the Prime Minister's Office (PMO)
- Shirsath has tried to address the aspect of making the application accessible to blind and physically disabled people
- The Government of India jointly with search engine Google had launched the first of the contest for developing the mobile application, for which entries were invited from March 4.
- Government along with Google launched a nationwide contest to develop a mobile app for the PMO
- The contest will be organized over the next three months in three phases of ideation, wireframe development and App development.
- The government also sought suggestions through MyGov portal before the Rail Budget and Union Budget 2015-16 and incorporated these suggestions
- MyGov.in launched its version 2.0, with newer features such as hashtags, polls, interactive discussion forums and social media account integration.
- The new version of MyGov is sleeker, has easier navigation and shows real time data about registered users, task submissions and number of comments
- MyGov aims to be "more inclusive, more interactive, more collaborative" in its new avatar.
